Has anyone installed Win 7 on an Asus a7nx-e deluxe mobo with dual channel Corsair 2gb ,cas2...

I have that ASUS Socket A MB, but have not installed Win 7. I had Vista 32 BETA installed at one time. The OS would have to be 32 bit. AMD Athlon socket A processors do not support 64 bit instruction.

yeah thx..its installing but then reaches blue screen of death..hardware issue .

I would think Win 7 32 bit may install. Haven't tried it. I do currently have Windows 7 64 BETA installed on an ASUS SSocket 939 MB with AMD 64 4000+.

Obiously new hardware would be better..just trying to update some older machines I'm kinda stuck with..Probably driver issue ..gotta figure what it is ..ciao

Win 7 64 will not load on a board that does not support 64 bit processors like the Socket A board you have. 32 bit OS should load. Then search for drivers for the hardware.

I have the 32 bit os..It turns out its a driver issue..prob sata /raid driver need to F6 on install..I'll get it I think ..once I get past driver issue..
