Memory problem with I7

I have an Intel DP55WG/intel860CPU to put together. I realized I bought the wrong memory, CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TR3X6G1333C9. My question is, can I still use at least of those for a Dual Channel setup?

yes but adding an extra stick may reduce the effectiveness of the sticks in dual channel

Thanks for the reply, I just wasn't sure since it was for a TripleDDR3 kit. I guess I will keep the other as a spare LOL
