I have a WD6402AAEX disk as my primary drive. Speccy S.M.A.R.T. data reports it as having:

10.000RPM

16MB cache


This can't be right, the drive should be 7200 RPM, 64MB cache, as for the advertised specs.
Also, should I run WD Align Utility on Windows 7 64bit(1 month old installation)?

You are right. It is a 7200 rpm drive with 64 MB of cache. There is no need to run the Align Utility with Win7.

Thank you, I knew I was right, but why does Speccy report it as a 10.000rpm 16MB cache drive? As for the Align utility, I'm asking 'cause the drive seems a bit sluggish.
