More about gigabyte mtherboard recognize pcix
  1. Is it a PCI-X (I've never seen one of those) or is it a PCI Express video card? They are very different. What model is is it?
  2. If it is, in truth, a PCI-X card, it shouldn't even fit in the socket.

Most PCI-X cards fit in a PCI slot, but they then are restricted to 32-bit/33MHz. I have a couple PCI-X SCSI controllers and they work in a PCI slot. However, not all PCI-X cards are designed to work in a PCI slot.
  4. it is a pci express card and i managed to fix it
actually my card was defective so i bought a new one and works great

    thanks all for your help
