I've got a budget of about $350 CDN and would like the BEST OF THE BETS! HAh!

So far I've got an eye on an E5200 Wolfdale. I did some research and apparently it overclocks really well. What is a good ass mobo for this CPU?

Included in my budget is a GPU, and so far I've got two in mind. This HIS 4850 IceQ4 Turbo and this HIS 4870 IceQ4 Turbo.

My monitor is 22".

What are your suggestions guys?

1. What games, and at what resolution?

2. For motherboards take a look at:

P45 UD3R $150

P45-UD3L $114

P45-UD3P

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131347
ASUS P45 P5Q SE $130 (before MIR)

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131377
P45 P5Q Pro $145 before MIR

If you don't need RAID,etc go UD3L/P5Q SE. If you want RAID go UD3R, if you want RAID/CrossFire, go UD3P/P5Q Pro

3. What's the rest of the specs? Esp. PSU.

PSU will be one that will support 4870 and the next gen GPU's. So far I had my eye on a 750W corsair hoping it will cut it.

do you already own RAM? are you sure its compatible with the mb suggestions , or do you have a seperate budget for that?

If you are going with an e5200 , and a single gfx card then P45 boards are expensive . Might as well use a cheaper P43 board . Performance is the same , but no RAID or second gfx slot

ASUS P5QL PRO LGA 775 Intel P43 $115
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131329

or
GIGABYTE GA-EP43-UD3L LGA 775 Intel P43 $110
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128380

And if Canada is like the US then AMD has better options in this price range

why pay $30 more for a second gfx card slot you will never use?

Mass Effect, , Dragon Age, CoD Modern Warfare II and Mass Effect II for sure. I'd like to be 2010 future proof =) When 2011 comes around I'll go for CPU/GPU update.

1. Looking towards Mass Effect, Dragon Age and Modern Warfare 2 for this Fall 09. Resolution? No idea, I run games at 800x600 on this old rig and I'll be switching to a 22". So whatever the standard res for 22" is.

P.S.
Is that PSU really pink?
