I have an Asus p5q pro p45 motherboard and I was wondering if the xeon X3360 will work with this board? Its supposed to be the equivalent of q9550 and their both priced kind of the same now, but official support on the asus website doesn't show this cpu as being supported.

Yes its not in the CPU-support list but it should work fine because the Xeon X3360 is pretty much a Q9550

cool thanks made the order a few hours ago hopefully the chip will work in my board
