is intel pentium 2.86 GHz faster than intel core2 duo processor T5750 with only 2GHz having same amount of RAM ?

go with t5750 , as it is a dual core for a responsive system while multitasking , and its microarchitecture (core 2 duo) is much superior to pentium . it also gives more performance per watt and will give you a better battery life .
