Motherboard CHIP question

If the x58 Motherboard's ICH10 chip or the X58 chip has been damaged or burned would that in turn damage all other components ?

No. A power supply spike or lightening strike would, but not a motherboard chipset. If the board is bad, it's bad. If you have a problem with any removable hardware, try it first on another machine.

Yes it could damage some other components connected to it. But if many are damaged, the supply or lightning is more probable.
