Sandforce (vertex 3) AHCI or IDE mode?

Hi all.. I recently put together a system equipped with a Vertex 3 SSD, I recently found out that I installed Windows 7 with IDE mode enabled in the BIOS/UEFI. Would ACHI mode bring any noticable difference? Is there any reason why I should keep with the IDE mode and not change it?

You want to run in AHCI mode for NCQ (Native Command Queuing), which is provides a nice benefit for a SSD.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Native_Command_Queuing

drivers and caching algorithms are often much better with AHCI as well.
