If you motherlode the lot to furnish it nicely, sims seem to bring back
items less often than when you play a greek house straight. It seems
to me that they are prone to bring back objects that they need, so if
they don't have many surfaces they'll bring back a table, if they don't
have many entertainment options they'll bring back a TV/Console
system/Remote Car, etc. When they don't have needs like that because
they've all been provided for by the huge influx of cash, they won't
feel the need to swipe anything.

Membership in a Greek house doesn't confer the hack grades benefit.
Your sim needs to have membership in the secret society to do that, and
if they've got low logic points, that's *really* not worth it.
I have noticed as well that Greek Houses do seem to spawn more visitors
who come by to hang out. There's that, for what it's worth (and it's
worth something, your Greek House sims should never get lonely, and
making friends is fairly easy), the pledge influence benefit (my sims
never have to write a term paper), and access to some easy-to-fulfill
wants that come with membership (although this isn't that big a deal).
