My desktop background is half white

So i was messing with the graphics and all that..then all of a sudden my background is half white and half of the image i had selected as a background..did i press something wrong i've gone back to everything i did & nothing is happening..how can i get my full picture to show? I've tried the stretch, center options but nothing is happening..also this image is from My pictures..not the internet.

Windows system restore to date when it was working.

yeah the same thing happened to me but i couldn't change it.
