i have to laptops and i am trying ti connect them but the wont see each other
they will connect to the ad hac network but wont see each other i have checked the internet but no one has my same problem
any help TY

check all systems firewalls are off or are allowing the others IPs

ive turned off firewalls but i dont know about allowing the others IP??

if all firewall (windows included) are off you dont need to allow IPs.

do both laptops get an IP and can they ping each other?

both laptops do get an IP and XP can see the vista but cannot acsses the files and the vista just ignores the whole network even though it it connected and set to home
