Hello to you, I am attempting to repair a Win XP OS and when booting from the OS Cd I received this message, can you give me a solution to this problem? Inf file txtsetup sif is corrupt or missing status 4096

Windows CD do not normally ship with missing files. The CD is not smudged or scratch, hopefully. And you are positive you are booting from the CD.

Something completely unrelated may be causing the issue. Some times, removing 1 stick of memory and rebooting will fix the problem.
