Upgrade video card possible?

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my video card or if my mobo is too old to bother. I'm running a ati rad. 9600 currently on Asus A8v deluxe mobo. I couldnt really find a definite answer on if i'm able to use a new card that's pci express or if i need to stick to older cards that are pci and agt. Any help would be appreciated.

that board will only support AGP/PCI.

that is most likely the best you can do but kind of a waste investing in such old tech.

On the AGP side you can get a Radeon 3850 or 4670 AGP, but of course it's really only worth it if you have a capable X2 CPU that you can overclock a bit. If you have a single core, then yeah you're better off with a new board, CPU, RAM, and video card.
