I7 2600 or i7 2600k for BF3?

Hello, I am trying to find out which is best to buy for Battlefield 3.
I need to know if the i7 2600 or 2600k with H67 or P67 or Z68 motherboard is best combination for intense gaming like BF3. I also do not plan on over-clocking. Thanks in advance.

you don't NEED the 2600k, but why not? its easily the last cpu you will need until it dies. With its OC potential, around 5.0GHz, it will not need to be replaced until you bury it in your backyard.

personally, id go with an i5 2500k if you are only building for gaming use primarily. its basically the same chip as the 2600k, and 65% of the price

For gaming the 2500k will be perfect.
