system idle process is devouring my cpu usage.. what can i do? windows xp. also, ive tried most of, if not all the anti spyware available, is there one yall recommend?

I am happy to see system idle at a high cpu %.

System Idle Process is what? It is supposed to be high... For System Idle Process, high is good, and low is bad... If this what you meant, try Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and/or A Squared Free. A Squared will find everything except Rootkits, for that type of malware try AVG Antirootkit
