I was wondering this MB by Asus says it is RAID compatible but does it mean that It has a built in RAID card or do I have to purchase one? I am trying to set up a RAID 0 with 2 1TB HDD so any answers would be much appreciated :)

Most likely built-in RAID hardware, or software-based RAID functionality. In any case, you're better off using a dedicated controller.

According to the mobo specs on Newegg, that mobo has onboard RAID...
Quote:

Storage Devices
PATA 1 x ATA133 2 Dev. Max
SATA 3Gb/s 7
SATA RAID 0/1/5/10

So, no, you will not need a dedicated hardware RAID controller to put your 1Tb drives on RAID0.

You can get a dedicated hardware RAID controller but it will not offer any performance gain over the mobo RAID.
