Hi,
I bought a new hard drive for my Desktop PC. It’s a: Seagate Barracuda LP 1-TB 3.0 SATA. Wit it, I bought a brand new SATA 3.0 data cable. I installed the hardware into my PC. Then, I went into the BIOS and saw that the hard drive was recognized. After that, saved & exited the BIOS and load the operating system (Win XP SP3 32-bit). I open up “My Computer” and the new hard drive does not show up. Device manager is showing the new hard drive as a new drive (without any yellow or red marks beside it). What can I do to make this drive show up so I can start using it?
Note: The purpose of this drive is to be a slave for additional data storage.
Also, the motherboard has an on-board SATA controller on it.
