So I am building my desktop for the first time and hit another speed bump. What is the correct way to connect all the built in fans? I notice they have standard molex connections but they have both a male and female... I have a Corsair 750W PSU why are the power molex connections chained 3 on the same wire? Seems like this will be messy.

Thanks hunter... Do you recommend any of them being attached directly to the MB for control? Can all 4 be powered off of 1 PSU molex connect?

140mm Fans 1 x 140mm rear fan
230mm Fans 1 x 230mm front red LED fan
1 x 230mm top fan
1 x 230mm side fan

If you connect it straight to the molex connector it can only run on high speed, if you would like speed control over it like the large front and side fans then connect them to the motherboard. If you want to you can connect them all to one molex connector they dont draw very much power.

You can connect as many fans in-chain or separate using any molex from the PSU...

Fans are the least of you worries when it comes to how much power they pull... I have seen 12 120mm fans running off a EA500w PSU + GTX 9800 + 4GB DDR2 + AMD 7550 + 2 hard-drives + 2 DVD drives, etc........

So go ahead and use as many fans as you want.....Specially with that 750w beast...
