Radeon HD 4850 X2 2 GB discontinued??

Anyone know why the Radeon HD 4850 X2 2 GB was discontinued? Was thinking about getting one but now I'm having second thoughts, especially with it just making it on the Aug recommended cards list.

It was mostly due to that fact it wasn't amazingly priced at the time. For the same price you could get 2 4870's or the x2 and most people were in fact getting that. not enough sales.

They are good cards though. My friend has had one for a while and loves it.
