Everything else is perfect...especially when gaming. I get no ghosting, or other color problems when gaming in full screen mode. Once I get back to the desktop, any time I move or scroll a window that contains text, the background of the text temporarily turns to a yellowish, white color. The problem is amplified (meaning more pronouced) the faster I move or scroll. Also, it is especially noticeable on any appliation's standard classic windows menu bar (File, Edit, etc...), as the text turns to black on white when moving/scrolling the window.

This is a brand new gaming rig; all components purchased after 08-14-09. I went through and hit every manufacturer's website to attempt to update all of the drivers.

I would appreciate any tips on how to track down the culprit. At this point, I'm wondering if I've simply not noticed this on my other systems, as this is my first high performance gaming rig.

Components:

Windows XP Professional SP3
ViewSonic VX2260wm 22" 1080p
XFX HD 4870 1GB
GIGABYTE MA790XT-UD4P
4GB Corsair DDR3 1333
Corsair 650w PSU
