I'm getting a new processor and RAM and I need some advice. I've settled on the CPU: an AMD Phenom II X4 945 processor and I want 4 GB DDR3. But the question is what frequencies should the RAM run at so I get a 1:1 FSB:RAM ratio.

I've looked at dozens of calculations on the web but they just confuse my ideas. If I got things right the CPU has a speed of 200 * 15 multiplier = 3GHz. So the FSB is 200*4 because it is quad pumped and that means I should get 800MHz RAM right?

AMD doesn't use FSB. It uses hyper transport. Usually 1333 Mhz is good, but if you want some overclocking room then get ram that is rated at 1600Mhz. Low voltage would be good too (1.5 -1.6V).
