I'm getting a new processor and RAM and I need some advice. I've settled on the CPU: an AMD Phenom II X4 945 processor and I want 4 GB DDR3. But the question is what frequencies should the RAM run at so I get a 1:1 FSB:RAM ratio.
I've looked at dozens of calculations on the web but they just confuse my ideas. If I got things right the CPU has a speed of 200 * 15 multiplier = 3GHz. So the FSB is 200*4 because it is quad pumped and that means I should get 800MHz RAM right?
