Core 2 Quad q9550

Hello, i am in the midst of buying a used Core 2 Quad q9550 and plan on OCing it. Ive heard this CPU can handle up to 400mhz FSB without breaking a sweat which is what i intend to OC it too and just to be safe i am getting this fan.

My question is if what ive said is true and its really that simple.

BTW my mobo is a p5n-e

ew for the money get the CM 212+, it outperforms that cooler. The artic cooler 13 is on par however, but cost more.

I have my Q9550 @ 3.4 with a zalman 9900. I have not found a need to push it higher but they can clock 3.6 - 3.8 and be stable.
3.4 should not be hard to do though.

Hey can you tel me your voltages and memory timings. And what RAM you have. I have a core 2 quad q9400 and i /can't get it to 3.2GHZ but it likes 3.1ghzz...

I'm new to this. please help!

I am using Ocz Reaper 1066. I am running it at 2.1v with 5-5-5-15 timings. I am running my cpu at fsb of 400 with a core voltage of 1.296.

Oh okay. I've seen that quide many times lool. IMO it isn't that helpful! I can't get it to 3.2GHZ ¬_¬
