How big of a PSU?

How big of a psu do i need? ill have 2 5770's(600w) Phenom II 955 (125w) 1-2 hdd's and 4gb of ddr3 1333
what else would play apart? and how much wattage do i neeed

Use a PSU Calculator. I ahev this one bookmarked but there's plenty out there.

As you can see there they draw slightly more than a 4890 which can be safely run on a good 550 watt PSU, a good 600 or 650 would be plenty but a good 750 provides you the option of upgrading to a pair of stronger cards in the future.

The official ATI recommendation for a system with two AT Radeon HD 5770 video cards operating of Crossfire mode is a 600 watt power supply with a total of 40 amps on the 12 volt rail(s).

The 5770 is relatively efficient. Here is a link to AMD's requirements:

600w and two 6-pin pcie connectors for crossfire.

Do get a quality unut only.
My short list of quality units would include Corsair, Seasonic, PC P&C, and Antec.

Not much else plays a part unless you have a number of unusual additional parts to a basic PC.
