Question: How do I change my 80gig IDE hard drive from being master drive with Windows Vista 32bit to a new 1TB SATA hard drive being the master with Windows 7 64 bit?
Background Info:
I've been upgrading my computer recently and I'm at the point where I got a new hard drive and widows that I want to upgrade to. Currently I have an 80gig IDE drive as the master with vista32 on it and a 40gig IDE slave hard drive. Yesterday I installed a 1TB SATA hard drive and I want to upgrade to Windows 7 64bit onto it and turn it into the master drive and make both of my smaller hard drives slave drives as a bonus storage for pictures and such. I've already formatted the 1TB drive and its recognized by the computer as its own drive and i can utilize it and all. I just want to know how to get it to be the master, put windows on it, and have the 80gig and 40gig drives as simply additional storage. Thanks for reading!
