Best 2 5 external hard drives

Hello,
i am looking for a solid external hard drive 2.5 for backups.
I am using now the transcend storejet 25 which is solid and stable.
I am looking for something a bit faster.

Most of these drives are pretty similar. If your system has an E-SATA port then that would be the way to go.

You may also want to look into a hybrid drive and purchase an external enclosure for it.

first of thank you for the response.
I looked into the hubrid hdd that you sent, it looks realy good.
the problem is, it starting to be a bit expensive, 160$ in my country + 50$ for anti shock case.
I thinking of buying Seagate goflex which can also come with Esata and usb connections
any thoughts?

USB2.0 will average around 30mb/s. E-SATA will use the full speed of the sata port and drive, so depending on the drive you use, you should get 80Mb/s or more out of it.
