Buying a cheap system to run for about 3 or more years

3 Components which are a processor, motherboard , RAM

1st the processor

I have picked 2

1.) Athlon II X4 620 2.66 Ghz they say best bang for the buck so??? :ouch:
2.) Phenom II x2 550 BE 3.1 Ghz they say good for gaming so??? :pt1cable:

so hope a can unlock the L3 cache for the athon and the 2 cores of the phenom if possible

2nd the motherboard

i have picked 4 choices

though I have a Palit GF9600Gts 256mb 128bit video card
1.) Asus M4a785-M 4200 radeon...
2.) MSI 785 GTM- E45 4200 radeon...
3.) ECS black series GF8200(V1.0) for hybrid SLI possible for my card??
last but not the least
4.) ECS 6100 PM-M2L ver.3 for Am3 last option :pfff:

planning for an upgrade for my video in time

3rd the Ram

i will only buy the available ram ddr2 or ddr3 on my country think
800 for ddr2 or 1333 for the ddr3

hope u guys could help me buying this christmas though heheheeh

my system now is a old

Athlon64 3000+ 1.8 ghz no OC
MSI K8n neo platinum
1.5 ghz of ram 512 got busted so supposedly 2ghz
80ghz seagate Barracuda
Palit GF8600 256mb 128bit the one with an addtional power at the back of the card.
500 wattz power supply Dynamo - not generic
works well
lite- on combo drive

so here we go .............

What will you be using this system for? The 8600 isnt too strong so i assume not gaming, but without knowing more we cant suggest which processor. The Asus 785G board would be a good choice. You should also get a 2x2GB kit of ram, 4GB makes a significant difference compared to 2GB. Try to get low latency ram, like CL5 1066 DDR2, or CL7 1333MHz DDR3 depending on which board you pick.
