Low Budget PC

Hi all!

I want to buy a low budget PC for my mother. It will be used mainly to surf the internet, writing emails and maybe using MS Word. I'm considering buying an already built computer instead of getting the components myself, and I have found this computer:

Micro: Pentium Dual Core E2220 (2.2 MHz)
RAM: 2048 MB DDR2 667MHz
Power supply: 450W
HD: 500 GB, SATA, 7200 rpm
DVD Burner

It does not specify the brand of any of the above components, and the price is 239 euros. What do you think of this computer? Should I look for something a bit better or should this be enough?

For that kind of use, it will be fine. Generally, surfing machines are better bought pre built that come with an OS, otherwise, you're already starting in the hole. Finding a used PC might be an option also.

I agree, but see what you can find locally. A small shop may sell you something with with a warranty and better support.

I think I'll get this PC unless I can find a better deal for a similar one.
