I bought a 7950GT for my secondary PC (an Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 754), since I thought anything more would be overkill.

Now I've tried overclocking the graphic card and increasing the fan speed using Rivatuner and EVGA precision, but for some reason the settings are only maintained for a few seconds. Then they revert back to their original values. When loaded, the GPU temp is reaching around 80C on stock settings (500Mhz Core, 600 Mhz Mem, fan speed 20%, goes to 30% under load), so I at least need to figure out same way of increasing the fan speed...

Does anyone have any suggestions how this can be done?

Thanks a lot for any help!
