I have heard many reviews stating that UPS delivery kills computer parts. I was just wondering what you all thought about it. Have any of you had bad experiences with UPS? Lastly, are there certain components that will be Ok with UPS and some that wont?
I have ordered all of my parts for years going through the ups and fed ex route. Also I have received tons of stuff from newegg. I have zero complaints. if you think about it, How do the items get to the store you'd be buying them in? The same way ups or fed-ex gets your stuff to your doorstep.
if its damaged refuse the item. DONT OPEN it and call UPS. all items are insured and you can get a refund if there is obvious damage. (i used to work for UPS)

I have to admit when I received my open box asus laptop from newegg I recorded the whole opening and turning on process just in case there was something wrong. There wasn't, but I didn't want to even give them one chance to not accept my return if i needed it.
honestly, i think its different wherever you are, at my parents house when i got stuff it came fine, then in Rochester my GF's stuff came in with boxes half folded in
My only complaint with UPS is that they don't deliver on weekends and if the item is large enough, I generally have to go to the local UPS station to pick it up; otherwise, I have it shipped to work. In all my orders from Newegg (neary $8K), I've only had one box come damaged and the computer case inside was fine.
