The correct mode is AHCI.

Here is a link to ssd and windows optimization guides:

Hmmm ok, i thought though with the ocz brand ssd's they did not recommend using AHCI.?

JohnnyLucky is 100% correct.
If you look at the reviews on SSDs that show a snapshot of AS SSD and look at the driver you will see.
(1) msahci (microsoft's default driver)
(2) iastor (Intel's ashci driver) For SATA-II SF 12xx controller this is the best one.

If you check out the posts, Gee my SSD is SLOW, - a good number is because the are in IDE mode.

@ Johnny - Just ordered 2 ocz agility 3 120 gig drives (By accident) - No, Not going to stick them in Raid0 mode (LOL).

Ok thank you both very much, i have switched to ahci now... This may be a silly question, but how do i tell what driver i am using?

Download, install and run AS SSD.
You do not need to run the benchmark. Just look at the upper left.
It will list the driver (ie msahci, or iastor)
Just below that you will see the partition alignment. It should say aligned and a "OK"

I know there is a command to verify trim. If RetiredChief or JohnnyLucky could chime in. @ $1 a gb, I may buy a second SSD for programs and get them off of my raid drives. My orginizational skills misplaced my notes on trim. Thanks again to both of you for your past help.

Bear in Mind that only verifies that it is enabled - much harder to verify that it is working - No problems, it working, Problems ?????

Understood Chief. Current SSD is fine with trim, thanks to your shared knowledge. Just misplaced info to configure and confirm trim.
Thanks again JL. Looking forward to my #2 SSD.
