No Mouse Or Keyboard at Login

This happened during a system restore which turned into a system lockout.
The mouse cursor is frozen at the login screen.
Replaced USB mouse with PS1, still nothing.
Safemode nogo.

Never had this happen before.
How do I fix this?

System Restore is ambiguous - How did you restore ?

May have HD or memory problem. Boot with 1 stick ram if you have more.

Ram makes "only peripheral" not detected?

I just wanted to make sure of term system restore because some users say that, or "format my system" and one doesn't really know what they did.
You can also System Restore to factory settings, BTW.

fixed it.

It appears that Combofix raped my sytem files so I restored them using repair console
c:\windows\system32\config
and did a
ren from .bak on
system.bak
software.bak
sam.bak
security.bak
default.bak

Glad you got it sorted out - I have heard Combofix, is not intended to be run as a GP Scanner, and only as directed by a Malware Expert !
