The usb3.0 only takes bandwidth from the pcie 16 when in actual use correct? In other words if nothing is connected it should not be taking performance away fron my gpu?

From other articles/reviews that I read, USB 3.0 takes bandwidth from pcie 16 (reduces it to pcie 8) as soon as the option is enabled (which it is) in BIOS.

Hrmm, so safe to say I should DISABLE it once up and running correct? I really don't know of any uses for USB 3.0 atm.

Was hoping it only reduces it to x8 if it was in USE like a USB flash drive or some plug and play device, kind of lame that it already sucks up bandwidth when just enabled.

If you have only one video card I would not worry. You can still disable USB 3.0 and SATA III in BIOS if it bothers you.

Thanks, ya I disabled it last night, but nice to know even if it is it isn't a problem.
