Power Supply for Gainward GeForce GTX275 896MB DDR3 GS

Hello everybody!

I recently had a problem with my graphics card (a BFG 8800 GT OC2) and i had to take it back to the shop. It is most likely that they won't give me another graphics card of the same model and they will require me choose another one. I'm thinking of getting a 200 Series graphics card from Nvidia. But I got just one question.

The power supply on my PC is a Raidmax at 520W. Is it enough to be able to use this graphics card? As I have seen on the review made for GTX 275, the total power consumption is around 250-300 (at full load) ( http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-275,2266-14.html ).

Thank you and looking forward to your replies!

  1. the power requirement is of minimal importance the main thing is the amps on your 12v rail and the raidmax has 18 amps and i believe the 275 requires minimum 34 amps
