Hi everybody.

I wanted to build(upgrade) a computer.

I have the following already:
Monitor, Mouse&Keyboard, Dvd-Rom.
In short I want to upgrade my Processor to Core2Quad(therefore MoBo, 4 GB+ RAM, Video Card, 1 TB Hard Drive and everything else those parts might need). I want them to be around $300-450.

I did read "Guide to choosing parts" and it was very helpful. I changed my choices little bit based on that article.

So I made a list (these are very good for my requirements):
[if you can find lower prices for these or better parts, please let me know.]

=================Processor:=====================
- Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q8200 2.33GHz 1333MHz 4MB LGA775 CPU, OEM ($141)
* Mfr Part Number: EU80580PJ0534MN
* Process Type: Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q8200
* Frequency: 2.33 GHz
* FSB: 1333 MHz
* Cache: 4 MB
* Process: 45 nm

I heard that Core2Quad processor has very high temperatures while working so it's very
important to choose a correct fan. So which fan should I choose? (look at the link, right
after the processor or advice better one with as low price as possible) .

===============RAM:========================
I heard that a RAM has to be compatible with the MoBo, so please advice me a good RAM(s) with a good price. 4GB+ for ~50$ would be great.

And also I'm thinking about the Power Supply. I bought my computer like 4 years ago, and do you think it needs to be upgraded?

And did I forget something? If yes do I have to buy it?

Sorry, I forgot to add:
I want it to use it for average gaming, home video/photo editing, watch movies, internet.

I'm planning to use WinXp&WinSeven&LinuxUbuntu.

I want to build it as soon as possible(I would start buying today, if you people advice me to).

Just based off of what you've posted, I would change a lot of the parts. But first, repost using this format: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/ [...] ild-advice
