you won't notice any difference if using for daily apps. There *might* be a little difference noticed while playing 3d games, but I can't see that being much at all.

Daily office usage
Running on Vista probably Win7
Photoshop
Illustrator
Dreamweaver
Flash
Video Audio Editing & Encoding(not much)

For game i use to have :
1. Commando 2-3
2. Championship Manager 2009
3. Lotr
4. Company of Heroes
5. Fifa08
6. Empire Earth

I guess the system is suit enough right?
