Seagate Barracude 160GB running on XP machine is suddenly not recognized. On startup it says Reboot and select proper boot device.... Viewing the BIOS setup it only shows the CD ROM as recognized. Took the HD our and connected as external USB and it was recognized immediately. AV scan showed two infections, both Win32/Adware.ClickTeam! , and a Seagate HD test showed passing. Ran CHDSK /R and no bad sectors. Reattached and same problem. Took another SATA drive and connected into problem machine and it was recognized. I assume this may be a Master Boot Record situation?? Thanks for any advice.
