programs not uninstalling in XP

When my partner bought a new printer the software stayed in the "Remove programs" system and will not uninstall. Also there's another thing also I can't uninstall and get messages we don't understand as its all gobbledegook. Only experts would understand it. I'm asking on my laptop for answers and have Windows 7. His one is XP. Its driving us up the wall. Even system restore won't solve the problem either. Anybody that knows, we would be grateful.

Uninstall it with REVO.
