Printer conflict

Hello,
i can only get some progammes working on my photosmart 4780 series i get pop ups telling me i have to be running on at least a 2000 my computer is a xp service pack 3

yes .but i think that the conflict is with an old computer when i bought this one everything was downloaded at the dealers the good and bad, i am not able to track it down

This does not make sense. Your old computer will have nothing to do with the software or printer working on your new computer. That downloaded at the dealers thing you were talking about, did they clone the drive from your old PC to the new one? What exactly did they do?

Also what exactly are you trying to run that's giving you the error?

According to the hand book on the xp version some of the earlier issues, mine
was purchased in 02, there have been some compatability issues.
so i have decided it is time to bite the bullet and go for a new computer and start with a clean start up. and yes they did take it straight from the old one.
i am like most cp uses i just trust that the thing will do what i want it to do
without knowing how it does it

Cloning a drive from one PC to another tends to wind up with issues, if you install XP on the computer clean, should be OK.
