Hi,

Will CMX8GX3M4A1333C9 - 8GB (4x2GB) Corsair XMS3, DDR3 PC3-10666 (1333) 240 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24 of RAM be recognised by windows 7 on an ASUS P7P55D motherboard being run by an Intel I7 860.

I heard that the I7 860 will only process 2 of the 4 memory slots and reduce the amount of recognised RAM.
I`m a bit confused by the Asus data sheet and Intels wright up.

Help!

i have the p7p55d deluxe, an i7-860, and 8 gb's of corsair dominator ram. everything works as advertised. you'll have access to all 8 gigs.

Thanks for your help.

What are Intel on about then?

With the i7 860 duel channel how does that work then, do the 4 sticks of memory work as 2 channels or something?

Thanks again

They were probably stating that 32bit version of windows would only recognise 4gb of ure ram so you need 64 bit windows to see all 8 gb
