I have been toying with builds but I wanna see what you guys think. I want to use newegg for parts because they have everything and because I can find combos.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: ASAP BUDGET RANGE: $1700 max

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: gaming, AutoCAD renderings, videos, surfing, college

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: OS

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: prefer newegg.com but still open

PARTS PREFERENCES: I would like the i7 because I do quite a few renderings.

OVERCLOCKING: Not planning on it right away SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Yes

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920 x 1080

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I need keyboard, and an additional monitor. I have a 37" 1080p TV that I will also use for dual displays. I want a fairly flashy case. I was thinking the COSMOS or the ANTEC 1200. Also this is my first personal build but I have helped my roommates with a couple and they can help me if I have any problems.

Here's a build, nothing special except i'd get 2- 1TB hard drives in RAID 1 (mirror). Don't risk losing data for college projects that you may have spent weeks or even months compiling. Case choice is only a mid tower, although it's good size for a mid tower, what i like is it's portability. Knowing college students it's a necessity.
