How come I havent heard anyone else talking about this

When I put my radiator on the back of my case it blocked my video card ports (Its a double rad).

So its half on now and hanging out the side which seems to work anyway but still its doesn't look that great.

I was thinking is there anyway to use the integrated graphics port as a proxy for the graphics card so I don't have to plug into the actual graphics card. There probably is and everyone is doing it and I don't even know about it.

More about havent heard talking this
  1. Dang, your rear fan mount must be pretty close to your PCI slots to hang down that far...and being a 240...that's really close. Can you post a pic? Maybe we can help offer some suggestions.
  2. If you plug into the Mobo's graphics, you'll be using the Mobo's graphics lol,
You have a midtower I'm guessing, as mine would also block the pcie area
Post a couple of pics as Rubix asked, and warm that dremel up, cause I reckon its modding time hehe :)

I was thinking its impossible since even if you could use the integrated graphics just as a proxy for the graphics card you would lose most of the capacity since integrated is hardly on a data speed like PCI-E x16.
  4. if you plug into the Mobo's graphics, you may as well take the card/cards out altogether, you aren't using them
and if your using the onboard, that means that its using up your ram, slowing your system down and stealing your Fps :P
your rig works great with cards plugged in and monitor plugged to the card yes?
its the rad mounting that is the issue here
leave the grapics alone, move the rad, make it go somewhere else or mount on a couple of leg brackets to get the clearance from the back of the case,
once you start watercooling, you are almost automatically inducted into the modding circles as well, because theres rarely a 'from the box' fits everyone solution, its your ingenuity and resourcefullness that makes it all happen,
Now Come on, post pictures hehe and we can start mounting your rad up :)

  5. Wow! a couple of these would ROCK!
not saying that you have to go this hightech but, damn I likee :)

    these look nice enough
    http://www.undesignsbrackets.com/news/xx-brackets-in-production-now-finally/

But something like this is functional enough for getting that clearance,
hell you can even tinker some up with some metal strip and pliers, then drill them out :)

so its up to you really, how swish do you want things looking?

  10. Hey Square! Any progress man?

  11. What this sounds like is that he had mounted the Radiator support arms downward or mounted the Radiator opposite face down switch will lead to block the PCI bays
Square you always have to face the radiator upward just like in this photo here

This is mt system and how I have two radiators hook up, one inside the case and one mounted outside the case int he REAR

And not downward setup like this

But note: you can mount the radiator still upward by using the mounting arms at the end of the radiator and still have the the G1/4 port and still be upwards
you can do it that way as well but if you have enough tubing
  12. Now thats that there engine ewity I'm a here talkin' on :)
    Nice job keiki :)
