Which should i pick?

4870 x2 or gtx 280 sli? Feel free to give me other suggestions other than these cards too as long as they are as good or better. ill pay up to $500 max.

even 1x GTX 260 would be suffice @ that resolution....even expect to play Crysis on HIGH with 30fps on that res with that card.

Agree. Multi-GPU is worthless at 1280x1024.
