4850's in crossfire. 16x and 8x slots.

hi all, your brains are needed.

is crossfire x worth it on my motherboard (GA-MA790X-UD4P) with 4850's? i only ask as the second pci-e slot runs at only 8x.
I plan on adding a second lcd monitor to my setup and wanted to grab another 4850 to ensure it runs smoothly.
