Hi.
I'm considering to buy a PII 955 x4, and a new mobo. I searched a little bit and i found some:
- Gigabyte GA-MA785GT-UD3H (100$)
- Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD3P (110$)
- Asus M4A785TD-V Evo (110$)
- Asus M4A79XTD Evo (130$)
So which is good and which should i buy? If you know some better mobos for the same/lower price just write it. I'd use it mostly for gaming. And i later i'd oc (just a little), but not sure.

I think i'll get the Asus M4A79XTD Evo, but could you tell me what disadvantages will i have, if i buy the GA-MA790X-UD3P, or one of the 785 mobos?

The list are in the same order that you list the mobos

1- Have video onboard, that not always is good for a gaming rig.
2- Only support DDR2 and also have onboard video.
3- Have onboard video too, that like i say isn't always good for gaming rig.

Oops, i didn't even see that the GA-MA790X-UD3P only supports DDR2... Then i'll definetly get the Asus M4A79XTD Evo. Oh and one more question (sorry i'm new to this). An ATX mobo easily fits in a midi ATX case, doesn't it? Currently i have a mATX mobo, and i never had an ATX one.

Hi again. What case do you currently have?, if your current case is ATX, the mobo can fit without problem, but if is a micro-ATX, you need a new case that support ATX mobo.

Okay, thanks for all. Err.. I have a last question (sorry i forgot to ask last time). So i have a 450W Chieftec PSU (Chieftec DT-450-A2). Maybe in the future i'll buy a HD 5830, does this 450W enough for the 955 x4 + the HD 5830?

No, isn't enough. You need at least a 500W PSU from a good brand like Coolermaster, Thermaltake, Corsair, PC power and cooling, Antec or OCZ.

One of THIS

My votes goes in this orde:

1- Coolermaster
2- Antec
3- OCZ

P.D. The 500W-600W PSU is enough if you only use a GPU, for SLI or X-Fire you need a 700W PSU.
