I need some help picking out memory for my M4A785TD-V EVO board. In the QVL it says G.SKILL
F3-12800CL9D-2GBNQ DDR3 1600 is supported. But what I am confused about is in the manual it says DDR#-1600(O.C.) MHZ compatibility. I assume that mean Over clocked. Does that mean I have to over clock the board to get the 1600 speed? Will 1333 be better? Whats faster. I havn't built a system in a while and this is my first time buying DDR3 and am a little confused.

I'm not really into overclocking...of coarse if it was available to me I would play with it.

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

Right, the OC means Overcloked. For the 1600 you need set all the specifications manually in the BIOS of your mobo.

The better memory is the memory that have the more low CL, if you want a RAM 1600 with CL 9, isn't good. I would get 2x2GB 1333 with CL7 or CL8.
