The PSU my budget can afford is this one:
CoolerMaster eXtreme Power Plus 460W (80mm fan) http://www.coolermaster.com/produc [...] ct_id=3713

My system is this:
Intel C2D E7200 (not OC'd)
2GB DDR2 667
PowerColor HD3870 512MB DDR4 PCS
160GB and 500GB Seagate SATA HDD

My current PSU heats up like hell and tends to corrupt my hard drive partitions. Do you think this CoolerMaster PSU can provide for my system? I'm not doing any OCing but can I consider that with this PSU?

With your budget limit and available choices it's about the best you can do.
Overclocking? Yes, if your motherboard supports that.
Heat issues? Maybe, depending on the local temperature. Also the 80mm fan and lower efficiency means more heat to deal with than PSU with 120mm fans and higher efficiency.

That is actually only capable of 430 W. It should be sold as that.

What mobo have you got?

ASUS P5GC-MX/GBL

I've seen that article but I'm not really knowledgeable in computing how much my system is using.

How much does the CoolerMaster eXtreme Power Plus cost in your area?
We might be able find a better alternative at near the same price point.
Have an online store you buy from? List that for us too.

But then if you can find a better alternative that's more reliable or whatever, go for it!

Will I be having heat issues? Can I overclock?

I can get the 120mm fan version but my casing wouldn't allow it. Thank you seogoat and WR2 for your replies.
