I just clicked the auto tune option in my amd's catalyst software and i have a few questions. By the way i did this just as an experiment just to see what catalyst estimates my card can handle
My card= ati radeon 5670 1gb GDDR5
i am overclocking it to be able to run battlefield 3 on low/medium settings. I am upgrading in a week to GTX 560.
Anyway, here are my questions
1. Is this tool safe?
2. How long does this tool take to get results on what my system can handle?
3.Should i keep what it says or revert back to factory settings?
4.If i should decide to revert back to factory settings is there an option that allows that in CCC?
5. Is overclocking bad for the graphics card in the long run?

1.) Yes, its safe to use

2.) Takes it an average of 2 minutes to get the auto OC settings; all AMD cards with CCC that have auto oc feature in GUI can handle it...its a safe OC feature.

3.) One way or the other its fine stock or OCed its your preference

4.)Yes on the same GUI menu at the bottom right corner : Set to Default

5.)I have found no significant impact on my cards life using the auto tune feature...It only raises the clock speed not the voltage...So there will be no more damage than running stock clocks, as voltage increases are what cause damage to system components, not clock speed
