So I built a new system last month but now I need to get a monitor for the final piece. I'm looking at a couple 22" monitors and wanted some more expert opinions. One is an LG and one is a Samsung, they seem almost identical except the samsung has a higher contrast ratio (20K:1 instead of 10K:1). I'm leaning slightly towards the Samsung because several of my friends have a Samsung and really like it, but the LG is slightly cheaper, has free shipping, and no MIR. Both are recommended on this LCD monitor thread on Anandtech.

Here are the two monitors:

Samsung T220 Rose Black

Here's my System
AMD Phenom II X4 955
ASUS M4A79 Deluxe
Sapphire Radeon 4870 1GB
4 Gigs DDR3 OCZ 1600 ram.

I mostly play games but also watch video online and do some word processing, internet surfing, etc.

Thanks for any advice.

Best thing you can do is head to a retail center and try to track down a place that has both on display and look for yourself. Its like speakers, you can read all the reviews you want, but no one else has your ears.
