sometimes, depending on the movie, the people's faces in the movie is green, and ideas how to fix this?

have you tried any other player? like media player classic? download k lite and see.

try updating/reinstalling the codecs. do you know what format the vidoes are in? bitrates?

Try another player like Media Player Classic Home Cinema first.

Don't blindly install unnecessary codecs since that can potentially screw up other things.
